Reverse Osmosis Systems - Reverse Osmosis systems remove minerals from process or drinking water. The process is also referred to as hyper filtration. It is designed to remove TDS (total dissolved solids). RO systems are not designed to remove TSS (total suspended solids). Pre-RO filtration normally includes sediment filters, water softening or anti-scalant systems, and carbon filtration. The support systems are all designed to increase the life of the membranes.

Screen Filters - Automatic screen filters can be sized to remove contaminants as small as 10 micron. For screens larger than 200 microns, some self cleaning filters use brushes to clean the screens. A suction cleaning system is preferred for screens smaller than 200 micron.

Thread Filters - Thread filters are specifically designed to remove particles that are smaller than 25 microns and as small as 2 microns. These systems use a suction cleaning system to remove particulate.

Continuous Cleaning Filters - These types of filters use a special cleaning system that uses both high pressure and suction to clean the filters. The result is a system that is continuously cleaning. They are used heavily in white water applications in paper mills in addition to other processing facilities.

Chemical Analyzers - Chemicals such as bleach, acids, and bases are introduced into systems for pathogen control, scale control, or pH adjustment. Analyzers can control such equipment as metering pumps or valves to maintain the proper chemical level in a product.

Media Filters - Media filters are used for fine filtration of fluids. They typically employ a disposable media filter and can filter down to less than 5 microns.

Bag Filters - Bag Filters use disposable bags to catch particulate matter. They are normally used for applications of 80 microns or less.

Ozone Systems - Ozone is often used to disinfect wastewater after biological treatment or as a pretreatment. It is a strong oxidizer that can work well in systems with less than 1% organic content.

UV Sterilizers - UV sterilizers use germicidal ultraviolet lamps that product short wave radiation lethal to bacteria, viruses, and othe microorganisms.

Chemical Dosing Pumps - Dosing pumps meter chemicals into water systems or other processes. They normally work with an analyzer.

Deionized Water Systems - When process water free of ionic contaminants is desired, DI systems are often specified. Mixed bed, two bed, and electrodionization are the three primary systems typically employed.

Carbon Filters - Carbon filters are designed to remove organics (primarily chlorine). They are used on almost all reverse osmosis systems. Very large reverse osmosis systems may use a chemical process in its place.

Water Softening Systems - Water softeners are used to remove some minerals from water prior to the reverse osmosis process. Larger systems tend to employ anti-scalant chemicals.
